9th April

The English shotists have all been wearing iron gloves this morning; hopefully it won't rain. Today's weather is slightly different to the last few days, with some thin low cloud cover which will doubtless burn off over the course of the morning.

The drive to the range this morning presented the usual couple of giraffes, a large herd of stripey horses, and a big squadron of guinea fowl.

Today is a day of 5 individual shoots totalling 4 separate competitions; the first being the marvellously named Dalrymple Cup, in which both Glyn Barnett and Parag Patel scored 105.17 out of a maximum possible 105.21

Last night we enjoyed a pleasant barbeque with the USA team and the GB Under 19 team. The chef was heard saying "if some of the ladies don't like meat, here's a little bit of chicken for them".
